Sharing Your Referral Link
Where to find your link, best practices for sharing it, and what counts as a valid referral.
Your referral link is the foundation of the program. Here's how to find it, use it, and get the most out of it.
Finding your link
Your referral link is in your partner dashboard. It looks like this:
https://live-golden.com/?ref=your-name
The ref parameter contains your unique slug. Every click, sign-up, and subscription that comes through this link is attributed to you.
How to share it
Your link works anywhere you can place a URL.
In written content: Add it naturally in relevant articles — estate planning guides, financial organization posts, will-writing checklists. In-content links tend to convert better than sidebar banners.
In email newsletters: Mention Golden Wealth in the context of a relevant topic (estate planning, getting financially organized, protecting your family). Include the link with a clear call to action.
In video descriptions: Add it to YouTube video descriptions or show notes for podcasts. Mention it verbally and link in the description.
On social media: Works well for educational posts about estate planning, wills, or family financial organization. Include the link in your bio or the post itself depending on the platform.
What counts as a valid referral
A referral is valid when:
- Someone visits Golden Wealth through your link
- They create a free account (this records the referral)
- They subscribe to a paid plan (this creates your first commission)
The referral is tied to the user's account at sign-up. If they sign up through your link and subscribe days or weeks later, you still get credited.
What doesn't count
- Referring yourself or your own accounts
- Sending paid traffic through incentivized networks (cash-back, coupon sites)
- Manufactured sign-ups with no genuine intent to use the product
Commissions from fraudulent referrals will be reversed and may result in removal from the program.
Tracking your clicks
Your dashboard shows click counts from your referral link. A click is recorded each time someone loads Golden Wealth with your ?ref= parameter — before they sign up. This lets you see your conversion funnel: clicks → sign-ups → paid conversions.
Using a custom URL
If you want a cleaner URL for print or verbal mention, you can use any URL shortener (Bitly, Short.io, etc.) that redirects to your referral link. The underlying ?ref= parameter is what matters.
